Associated with the Birth of Venus, the Lion Paw scalloped shell is used to burn loose herbs or sage. These natural shells are the perfect size and shape for holding a sage wand as it burns. They keep the wand from dropping burning cinders and are shallow enough that they don't put it out. The element of water represented by the shell is a perfect compliment to the fire of the smudge bundle. As you carry the shell, you can waft the smoke using a feather or your hand.
